Control your soil pH efficiently with Calcifert
With input prices continuing to rise, arable farmers are looking for efficiency in every area of production
Acidic soil pH (below pH 5.5) can have a significant impact on
crop growth, yields and response to fertiliser application and it
is therefore more important than ever to balance your soil pH to
optimise yields.
Calcifert granulated lime can be spread using conventional
fertiliser spreading equipment, so there is no need for expensive
contractors. And recent independent tests have shown that
Calcifert can be spread at bout widths of up to 36 metres - saving
fuel, labour and the effects of compaction, whilst still
controlling soil pH and maximizing crop production.
"With fuel prices at an all time high, farmers need to be
minimising the time spent out on the field running machinery," said
Mick Stovin, Commercial Manager at Francis Flower. "Being able to
accurately spread granulated lime using your own equipment, and at
such wide bout widths, represents a significant saving."
